Eric Hackett has Been actively involved in martial arts since he was a child. Eric refined his martial training in the Army and excelled after being exposed to Gracie Jiu Jitsu as a member of the US Army 12th Special Forces Group(ABN). Returning home and becoming a law enforcement officer for the Imperial County Sheriffs Office, Eric Became a Gracie Resiting Attack Procedures for Law Enforcement and Military units. Later Eric opened a Gracie satellite school in El Centro Ca as Viper Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Due to work assignments and travel teaching the Graple/Combatives classes to different departments including the DEA, US Customs, ICSO, and many Others . Calexico Police Department recognizing his skills continued to send him to other arrest and control schools including LAPD’s KOGA, and straight stick instructor courses. Eric was a state, National and International Competitor and Champion in BJJ. After an injury, Eric resigned from Competition and focused on Combatives and self defense for Police Officers. Eric is currently teaching the Combatives course at Desert Combat Center in Calexico . (Tues/Wed) at 630 Pm.
